Ingredients

  • 1 pound Large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 6 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Set aside.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the butter and olive oil over medium heat until the butter is fully melted and begins to bubble.

Step 3

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.

Step 4

Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Season them with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Step 5

Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on one side, then flip them over using tongs. Cook for another 2-3 minutes or until the shrimp are pink, opaque, and cooked through.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the lemon juice and fresh parsley. Toss the shrimp to coat them evenly in the sauce.

Step 7

Remove the skillet from the heat. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings if needed.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your choice of pasta, rice, or crusty bread to soak up the garlicky sauce.
