Directions

Step 1

Rinse the basmati rice under cold running water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch. Set aside to drain.

In a medium saucepan, bring the water and salt to a boil. Add the rinsed rice, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender and the water is fully absorbed, about 15-18 minutes.
