Ingredients

  • 1 cup Dried figs
  • 1 cup Dried apricots
  • 1 cup Pitted dates
  • 1 cup Almonds
  • 1 cup Pecans
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 0.25 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar or shredded coconut (for rolling)

Directions

Step 1

Place the dried figs, dried apricots, and pitted dates into a food processor. Pulse until the mixture is finely chopped and sticky.

Step 2

Add the almonds, pecans, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and ground cloves to the food processor. Pulse again until the nuts are broken down into small pieces and everything is well mixed.

Step 3

Drizzle in the honey and vanilla extract. Pulse again until the mixture comes together to form a sticky dough-like consistency. If the mixture remains too dry, add an additional teaspoon of honey and pulse again.

Step 4

Use a small cookie scoop or tablespoon to portion out the mixture. Roll each portion into a smooth ball between your palms.

Step 5

Roll each ball in powdered sugar or shredded coconut to coat the exterior. Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Step 6

Once all the truffles are formed and coated, transfer the tray to the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow them to firm up.

Step 7

Serve immediately or store the truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
