Ensure the bottle of vodka or tequila is well-sealed. If the lid is loose, tighten it or secure it with plastic wrap to prevent leakage.
Select a large, cylindrical container or ice mold with enough space to hold the bottle with at least an inch of space around it for the decorations and ice. A clean, empty juice carton or a silicone mold works well.
Place the vodka or tequila bottle upright in the center of the container.
Add cranberries, rosemary sprigs, mint leaves, thyme sprigs, and lemon slices around the bottle, arranging them decoratively. Use chopsticks or the back of a spoon to position herbs and berries on the sides of the container for a visually appealing pattern when frozen.
Pour water slowly into the container, filling it to just below the neck of the bottle. Ensure the bottle and decorations stay in place during this step. For crystal-clear ice, consider using pre-boiled, cooled water or distilled water.
Carefully transfer the container to the freezer, ensuring it stands upright. Freeze completely for at least 12 hours or overnight.
When ready to serve, remove the frozen bottle from the mold. To do this, briefly run warm water along the outside of the mold to loosen the ice. Gently slide the frozen block out.
Place the frozen bottle on a serving tray or in a bucket to catch any melting ice. Use as a decorative centerpiece while keeping the vodka or tequila perfectly chilled.
Slice off layers of ice as needed during the party to keep the bottle accessible, and encourage guests to admire the beautiful frozen herbs and berries.
