  • 4 ears fresh corn, husked and cut into thirds
  • 1.5 pounds large shell-on shrimp (deveined, if desired)
  • 8 cups water
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, for serving
  • 1 bottle hot sauce, for serving

Directions

Step 1

In a large stockpot, combine water, kosher salt, Old Bay seasoning, smashed garlic cloves, lemon halves, and quartered onions. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
