Ingredients

  • 500 grams Pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.25 cup Milk
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1

Slice the pork loin into thin strips, about 1/2 inch wide and 2-3 inches long.

Step 2

In a bowl, season the pork strips with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and soy sauce. Mix well to ensure even seasoning. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour and cornstarch. Mix thoroughly.

Step 4

In another bowl, whisk together the egg and milk to create an egg wash.

Step 5

Dip each pork strip into the flour mixture, shaking off excess. Then, dip it into the egg wash, allowing excess to drip off, and return it to the flour mixture for a second coating. Ensure the strips are well coated and set them on a plate.

Step 6

Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer if available to maintain consistent frying temperature.

Step 7

Carefully place the coated pork strips in the hot oil, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry in batches if necessary.

Step 8

Cook the pork strips for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. The internal temperature of the pork should reach 145°F (63°C).

Step 9

Remove the cooked pork strips from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess grease.

Step 10

Serve the fried pork strips hot with your favorite dipping sauce or side dishes such as coleslaw, mashed potatoes, or steamed rice.
