Ingredients

  • 2 pieces sliced bread
  • 2 slices bacon
  • 1 piece large egg
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove the bacon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

Step 2

Carefully wipe the skillet clean and return it to the stove. Melt 1/2 tablespoon of the unsalted butter in the skillet over medium heat.

Step 3

Crack the egg into the skillet and sprinkle it with salt and black pepper. Cook the egg until the whites are set but the yolk is still runny, about 2-3 minutes. Flip the egg gently if you prefer your yolk less runny. Remove the egg from the skillet and set aside.
