Ingredients

  • 8 whole Fresh limes
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 6 cups Water
  • 2 cups Ice cubes
  • 1 cup Strawberries
  • 1 cup Pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons Grenadine syrup
  • 6 leaves Mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • 4 slices Lime slices (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

1. Roll 8 fresh limes on a flat surface with firm pressure to make them juicier, then cut them in half and juice them into a measuring cup to yield about 1 cup of fresh lime juice. Set aside.

Step 2

2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 cup of warm water from the 6 cups total. Stir until the sugar completely dissolves to create a simple syrup.

Step 3

3. In a large pitcher, combine the lime juice, the prepared simple syrup, and the remaining 5 cups of cold water. Stir well to create the base fresh limeade.

Step 4

4. Fill serving glasses halfway with ice cubes and pour fresh limeade into the glasses. For garnish, add mint leaves and lime slices, if desired.

Step 5

5. To make the Tropical Pink Limeade version, blend 1 cup of strawberries with 1 cup of pineapple juice until smooth.

Step 6

6. In a separate pitcher, combine 2 cups of the limeade, the strawberry-pineapple mixture, and 2 tablespoons of grenadine syrup. Stir well until fully combined.

Step 7

7. Fill another set of glasses halfway with ice cubes and pour the Tropical Pink Limeade into these glasses. For visual appeal, garnish with additional mint leaves and lime slices if desired.

Step 8

8. Serve both limeade variations side by side and enjoy the refreshing flavors!
