Ingredients

  • 1 loaf Baguette
  • 1 Garlic bulb
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 10 Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Parmesan cheese (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Step 2

Cut the top off the garlic bulb to expose the cloves. Place the garlic bulb on a sheet of aluminum foil, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and wrap tightly. Roast in the oven for 30-35 minutes until the cloves are soft and golden brown.

While the garlic is roasting, slice the baguette into 1/2-inch thick slices on a slight diagonal.

Finely chop the fresh basil leaves and set them aside.
