Directions

Step 1

Melt the unsalted butter over low heat and let it cool to room temperature.

In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs and granulated sugar together until the mixture is pale, thick, and creamy. This should take about 3-4 minutes.

Add vanilla extract and lemon zest to the mixture, and whisk until combined.
