Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 0.5 cups Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Onion powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoons Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1.5 cups Barbecue sauce (your favorite)
  • 0.25 cups Apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Honey

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs to ensure maximum tenderness.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and ground black pepper to create a dry rub.

Step 4

Rub the olive oil all over the ribs, then generously apply the dry rub on both sides, pressing it into the meat.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil to seal in the juices and flavors.

Step 6

Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet and bake in the oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the meat pulls back from the bones and is incredibly tender.

Step 7

While the ribs cook, combine the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir well and simmer for 5-10 minutes, then set aside.

Step 8

Once the ribs are done baking, carefully unwrap them (watch out for steam!) and discard the foil.

Step 9

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, or turn your oven's broiler on high.

Step 10

Brush a generous layer of the barbecue sauce mixture onto both sides of the ribs.

Step 11

Grill or broil the ribs for 5-7 minutes per side, basting with more barbecue sauce as needed, until the sauce caramelizes and forms a sticky glaze.

Step 12

Remove the ribs from the grill or broiler and let them rest for 5 minutes.

Step 13

Slice the ribs between the bones, serve, and enjoy your Freak N Good Ribs!
