Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Spaghetti
  • 6 tablespoons Butter
  • 0.25 cup All-purpose flour
  • 3 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 cups Heavy cream
  • 4 cups Cooked chicken breast (shredded or cubed)
  • 8 ounces Mushrooms (sliced)
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon Paprika
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1 Nonstick cooking spray

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.

Step 2

Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 3

In a large skillet, melt 4 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their liquids and soften, about 5 minutes.

Step 4

Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant. Remove the mushroom-garlic mixture from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and whisk in the flour. Cook for about 2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.

Step 6

Gradually whisk in the chicken broth, followed by the heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly (about 5 minutes).

Step 7

Stir in the salt, black pepper, paprika, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Remove the skillet from heat.

Step 8

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked spaghetti, shredded chicken, mushroom-garlic mixture, and the sauce. Mix well to coat everything evenly.

Step 9

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 10

Top the dish with the remaining Parmesan cheese and the shredded mozzarella cheese.

Step 11

Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

Step 12

Garnish with chopped parsley and let the dish rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
