Ingredients

  • 6 pieces Large eggs
  • 6 pieces Cherry tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
  • 2 tablespoons Cream cheese
  • 1 teaspoon White sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and let them cook for 9-10 minutes to achieve hard-boiled consistency. Once done, cool the eggs under cold running water and peel off the shells.

Step 2

Slice a thin layer off the bottom of each egg so they can stand upright without tipping over. Then, carefully cut the top third of each egg off and use a small spoon to scoop out the yolks into a mixing bowl.

Step 3

To the egg yolks, add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, salt, black pepper, chopped parsley, and cream cheese. Mix well until smooth and creamy.

Step 4

Fill the hollowed-out egg whites with the yolk mixture, using a spoon or a piping bag for neatness.

Step 5

Cut the cherry tomatoes in half and remove any seeds or liquid for a hollowed-out effect. Place one tomato half on top of each stuffed egg to mimic a mushroom cap.

Step 6

Using a toothpick, apply tiny dots of mayonnaise on the surface of the tomato halves to create the 'white spots' of the mushroom caps.

Step 7

Finish the presentation by sprinkling the serving plate with remaining parsley for a 'forest floor' effect and a small handful of white sesame seeds for added texture.

Step 8

Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve. Enjoy this charming and savory appetizer!
