Ingredients

  • 2 cans (5 oz each) canned tuna
  • 0.5 cups breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 stalks, finely chopped green onion
  • 2 tablespoons, chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 small, minced garlic clove
  • 0.25 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon, chopped fresh dill
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon additional lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt (for sauce)
  • 1 pinch pepper (for sauce)

Directions

Step 1

Drain the canned tuna thoroughly and transfer it to a mixing bowl. Flake it lightly with a fork.

Step 2

Add the breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, green onion, parsley, minced garlic, salt, and ground black pepper to the bowl. Mix everything together until it forms a cohesive mixture.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape them into patties about 3 inches in diameter.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the tuna patties to the skillet in batches, being careful not to overcrowd.

Step 5

Cook each patty for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy. Transfer the cooked patties to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.

Step 6

While the patties are cooking, prepare the dill sauce. In a small bowl, combine plain Greek yogurt, fresh dill, honey, additional lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and a pinch of black pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 7

Serve the tuna patties warm with the dill sauce on the side. Garnish with additional parsley or lemon wedges, if desired. Enjoy!
