  • 500 grams beef chuck or stew meat
  • 1.5 liters water

  • 4 medium potatoes

  • 2 pieces bay leaves

  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 100 grams all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 100 milliliters milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley

Directions

Step 1

Cut the beef into bite-sized cubes and set aside.

Step 2

In a large soup pot, bring 1.5 liters of water to a boil. Add the beef cubes, bay leaves, and whole black peppercorns. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 40 minutes, skimming off any foam that rises to the surface.
