Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Place the round loaf of bread on a sturdy cutting board. Using a serrated knife, make diagonal cuts into the bread, spacing about 2-3 cm apart, being careful not to cut all the way through to the bottom. Repeat in the opposite direction to create a crosshatch pattern.
