  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 50 grams Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper (freshly ground)
  • 125 milliliters Pasta water (reserved)

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 125 milliliters (half a cup) of pasta water before draining.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the red pepper flakes to the skillet, stirring to combine, and cook for another 30 seconds.

Lower the heat to medium-low and add the lemon zest and juice to the skillet. Stir well to distribute the flavors.
