Ingredients

  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp fresh lemon zest

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.

Step 2

While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil.

Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel, then season with 0.5 teaspoons of salt and 0.25 teaspoons of black pepper.
