Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 0.5 cup Feta cheese, crumbled
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.25 cup Red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 0.25 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 1 Egg, beaten
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 Hamburger buns
  • 0 Toppings of choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, etc.)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced garlic, chopped red onion, parsley, breadcrumbs, beaten egg, salt, and black pepper. Gently mix the ingredients until just combined—do not overmix.

Step 2

Divide the turkey mixture into eight equal portions and flatten each portion to form thin patties.

Step 3

Place about 1 tablespoon of crumbled feta cheese in the center of four of the patties. Cover each feta-topped patty with another patty and seal the edges by pinching them together, ensuring the cheese is enclosed.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet or grill over medium heat and add the olive oil. Once the oil is hot, place the stuffed patties on the skillet (or grill).

Step 5

Cook the burgers for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Avoid pressing down on the patties to retain their juiciness.

Step 6

Remove the burgers from the heat and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Toast the hamburger buns lightly, if desired.

Step 7

Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patties on the buns and adding your preferred toppings like lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Step 8

Serve immediately with your favorite side dish, such as fries or a fresh salad.
