  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 30 grams grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 2 liters water

Directions

Step 1

Bring 2 liters of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add 1 teaspoon of salt to the water.

Step 2

Cook the spaghetti in the boiling water according to the package instructions until al dente (typically 8-10 minutes). Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining the spaghetti.

Step 3

While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the thinly sliced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to let it burn.
