Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 8 ounces white mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season both sides of the pork chops with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Step 2

Heat the olive oil in a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is shimmering, add the pork chops.

Step 3

Sear the pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.
