Ingredients

  • 2 racks Pork baby back ribs
  • 2 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika
  • 2 teaspoons Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Ground mustard
  • 3 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup Pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 cup Ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

Step 2

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a knife under the membrane and peeling it off, then pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

Step 3

In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, smoked paprika, ground mustard, and brown sugar.

Step 4

Rub the spice mixture generously over both sides of the ribs, ensuring they are completely coated.

Step 5

Wrap each rack of ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet, meat side up.

Step 6

Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 2.5 hours until tender and the meat begins to pull away from the bones.

Step 7

While the ribs are baking, prepare the maple glaze by combining apple cider vinegar, maple syrup, soy sauce, ketchup, Dijon mustard, and butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.

Step 8

Simmer the glaze for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 9

Once the ribs are done baking, carefully unwrap them and drain any juices. Brush a generous layer of the maple glaze over the top of the ribs.

Step 10

Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C).

Step 11

Place the ribs back on the baking sheet, uncovered, and return them to the oven. Bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, basting with more glaze halfway through, until the glaze is sticky and caramelized.

Step 12

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Step 13

Serve the ribs with your favorite side dishes and enjoy the rich, maple-infused flavor!
