Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach
  • 1 cup kale leaves
  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 1 medium apple
  • 2 medium carrot
  • 1 small lemon
  • 1 inch piece ginger root
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Wash all the ingredients thoroughly under cold running water.

Step 2

Peel the cucumber, carrot, and ginger. Cut them into smaller chunks for easier blending or juicing.

Step 3

Core the apple and cut it into wedges. Leave the skin on for added nutrients.

Step 4

Cut the lemon in half and squeeze out the juice. Discard the seeds.

Step 5

If using a juicer, feed the spinach, kale, cucumber, apple, carrot, and ginger into the juicer one at a time. Then pour the lemon juice and water into the mix. Stir well.
