Ingredients

  • 3 cups Mixed nuts (almonds, cashews, pecans, walnuts, etc.)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat for easy cleanup.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine olive oil, maple syrup, and brown sugar. Stir well until the sugar is mostly dissolved.

Step 3

Add the smoked paprika, ground cayenne pepper, ground cumin, ground cinnamon, salt, and black pepper to the wet mixture. Whisk until everything is well incorporated.

Step 4

Pour the mixed nuts into the bowl and toss them until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture.

Step 5

Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Make sure they are evenly distributed to ensure even cooking.

Step 6

Bake in the preheated oven for 18–20 minutes, stirring the nuts halfway through to prevent burning and ensure even toasting.

Step 7

Remove the nuts from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 10–15 minutes. The nuts will crisp up as they cool.

Step 8

Once completely cooled, store the nuts in an airtight container for up to 1 week, or serve them immediately as a delicious snack or party appetizer.
