Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 oz each) Salmon fillet (skin-on, if possible)
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel, then season both sides generously with Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil.

Step 3

Once the oil is hot, place the salmon fillets in the skillet skin-side down (if using skin-on fillets) and cook without moving for 4-5 minutes or until the skin is crisp and golden brown.

Step 4

Carefully flip the salmon fillets and cook the other side for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the salmon is cooked through (internal temperature of 145°F/63°C). Remove the salmon from the skillet and place on a plate, tenting with foil to keep warm.

Step 5

Reduce the heat to low and add the unsalted butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Step 6

Add the fresh lemon juice to the skillet, stirring to combine with the garlic-butter sauce.

Step 7

Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the garlic-butter sauce over them. Allow the salmon to warm in the sauce for 1-2 minutes.

Step 8

Transfer the salmon to serving plates, drizzle with the remaining sauce from the skillet, and sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish.

Step 9

Serve immediately with your choice of sides, such as steamed vegetables or rice.
