Ingredients

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts
  • 4 slices Bacon
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese, grated (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

Rinse the Brussels sprouts and pat them dry. Trim the stems and remove any yellowed outer leaves, then cut them in half lengthwise.

In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside. Reserve about 1 tablespoon of the bacon grease in the skillet and discard the rest.
