Ingredients

  • 3 sticks Cinnamon sticks
  • 8 pieces Whole cloves
  • 2 pieces Star anise
  • 3 tablespoons Honey or brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 cup Brandy (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Pour the red wine and apple cider into a crock pot.

Step 2

Slice the orange into thin rounds and add the slices to the crock pot.

Step 3

Add the cinnamon sticks, whole cloves, and star anise to the mixture.

Step 4

Stir in the honey or brown sugar until dissolved.

Step 5

Add the vanilla extract and mix to combine.

If using brandy, stir it in at this stage for added depth of flavor.
