Ingredients

  • 4 pieces (6 oz each) halibut fillets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 pieces (for garnish) lemon wedges

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease with olive oil.

Step 2

Pat the halibut fillets dry with paper towels. Brush both sides of each fillet with olive oil and season with salt and black pepper.

Step 3

Place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

Step 4

While the fish is baking, prepare the herb butter. In a small bowl, mix together the softened butter, lemon juice, chopped parsley, chopped dill, and minced garlic until well combined.

Step 5

Once the halibut is cooked, remove it from the oven and immediately top each fillet with a dollop of the herb butter. Let the butter melt over the hot fish.

Step 6

Serve the halibut fillets hot, garnished with fresh lemon wedges. Optionally, pair with steamed vegetables, rice, or a side salad for a complete meal.
