  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 slices mozarella cheese slices
  • 4 pieces burger buns
  • 4 slices tomato slices
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 0.25 cup pesto mayonnaise (optional)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F). Lightly oil the grill grates to prevent sticking.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, Italian breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, minced garlic, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until just combined. Do not overmix.

Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape into burger patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty with your thumb to prevent puffing up during grilling.
