Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Pita bread
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 head Romaine lettuce
  • 2 medium Tomatoes
  • 1 large Cucumber
  • 1 small Red onion
  • 4 small Radishes
  • 0.5 bunch Parsley
  • 0.25 bunch Mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Sumac
  • 1 clove Garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil

Directions

Step 1

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Step 2

Cut the pita bread into bite-sized pieces or strips. Toss with 2 tablespoons of olive oil and spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy, then set aside to cool.

Step 3

Wash and dry the romaine lettuce, then chop it into bite-sized pieces and place in a large mixing bowl.

Step 4

Dice the tomatoes, cucumber, and radishes into small pieces. Thinly slice the red onion. Add these vegetables to the mixing bowl along with the lettuce.

Step 5

Finely chop the parsley and mint leaves. Add them to the salad bowl for a fresh herbaceous flavor.
