Ingredients

  • 500 g Chicken breast
  • 60 ml Soy sauce
  • 30 ml Honey
  • 3 units Garlic cloves
  • 10 g Fresh ginger
  • 10 g Cornstarch
  • 30 ml Vegetable oil
  • 300 g Mixed bell peppers
  • 200 g Broccoli florets
  • 100 g Carrots
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 4 cups Cooked white rice
  • 60 ml Water

Directions

Step 1

Slice the chicken breast into thin bite-sized strips and set aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, prepare the stir-fry sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, finely minced garlic, grated ginger, and cornstarch. Stir in the water until smooth and set aside.

Step 3

Chop the mixed bell peppers, carrots, broccoli, and onion into bite-sized pieces. Set aside.

Step 4

Heat 15 ml of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken strips and cook until they are lightly browned and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 5

In the same skillet, add the remaining 15 ml of vegetable oil. Add the chopped onion and carrots, cooking for 2 minutes.

Step 6

Next, add the broccoli and bell peppers to the skillet. Stir-fry the vegetables for another 3-4 minutes until they are tender-crisp.

Step 7

Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Pour the prepared stir-fry sauce over the mixture, stirring until everything is evenly coated. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.

Step 8

Serve the chicken stir fry immediately over warm, cooked white rice.
