Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 250 grams ground pork
  • 1 medium, finely grated onion
  • 3 cloves, minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1.5 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 0.5 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons, finely chopped parsley
  • 1 large eggs
  • 50 grams breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons, for frying oil
  • 150 grams, for serving (optional) plain yogurt

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, grated onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, ground coriander, allspice, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 2

Add the finely chopped parsley, egg, and breadcrumbs to the bowl. Mix everything well using your hands until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Step 3

Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Set the meatballs aside on a plate.

Step 4

Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the meatballs to the skillet in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan.

Step 5

Cook the meatballs for about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides and cooked through in the center.

Step 6

Remove the meatballs from the skillet and drain any excess oil on a paper towel-lined plate.

Step 7

Serve the meatballs warm with a side of plain yogurt or your favorite dipping sauce. They pair well with flatbreads, rice, or a fresh salad.
