  • 450 grams Strawberries
  • 4 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 6 tablespoons Cold unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cups Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Powdered sugar
  • 1 cup Heavy whipping cream (for topping)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

Step 2

Wash the strawberries, hull them, and slice into thin pieces. Place them in a mixing bowl, add 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and gently stir. Allow to macerate for at least 20 minutes to release their juices.

In another large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and salt.
