Ingredients

  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and set them aside.

Step 2

In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

Step 3

Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken breasts.

Step 4

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Step 5

Once the oil is hot, place the chicken breasts in the skillet. Cook for 6-7 minutes on the first side without moving them to allow a nice crust to form.

Step 6

Flip the chicken breasts and cook for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

Step 7

During the last minute of cooking, drizzle the lemon juice over the chicken breasts in the skillet.

Step 8

Remove the chicken from the skillet, let it rest for 3 minutes, then garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired.

Step 9

Serve hot with your favorite sides such as roasted vegetables, rice, or a simple salad.
