  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese slices
  • 2 pieces Burger buns
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 4 leaves Lettuce leaves
  • 4 slices Tomato slices
  • 8 slices Pickle slices
  • 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Mustard

Directions

Step 1

Divide the ground beef into four 100-gram balls and season each with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

Heat a large cast-iron skillet over high heat until it's very hot.

Step 3

Add the vegetable oil to the skillet and swirl to coat.

Step 4

Place two beef balls in the skillet, ensuring they have enough space between them.

Step 5

Using a heavy-duty spatula, press down firmly on each beef ball to flatten it into a thin patty.

Step 6

Cook the patties for about 2 minutes until the edges are crispy and browned.

Step 7

Flip the patties and immediately place a slice of cheddar cheese on each.

Step 8

Cook for another minute or until the cheese is melted.

Step 9

Meanwhile, halve the burger buns and spread butter on the cut sides.

Step 10

Toast the buns in another skillet over medium heat until golden brown.

Step 11

Assemble the burgers by spreading mayonnaise on the bottom bun.

Step 12

Place a layer of lettuce followed by a tomato slice and two cooked patties with cheese.

Step 13

Top with pickle slices, a drizzle of ketchup, and mustard.

Step 14

Cover with the top bun and serve immediately.
