Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Ground beef
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 1 medium Onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1.5 teaspoons Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup (for the glaze)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown sugar (for the glaze)
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (for the glaze)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and ground black pepper. Mix until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat mixture.

Step 3

Transfer the meat mixture to the prepared loaf pan, pressing it down gently to form an even loaf shape.

Step 4

In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to create the glaze.

Step 5

Spread the glaze evenly over the top of the meatloaf using a spoon or spatula.

Step 6

Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the meatloaf reaches 160°F (71°C).

Step 7

Let the meatloaf rest in the pan for 10 minutes after removing it from the oven. This helps retain moisture and makes it easier to slice.

Step 8

Carefully remove the meatloaf from the pan, slice it into portions, and serve warm. Pair it with mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, or a side salad for a complete meal.
