  • 0.25 tsp Black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

While the bacon is cooking, finely dice the onion.

In the same skillet with the bacon grease, sauté the diced onion for 5-7 minutes until softened and translucent. Remove from heat.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the baked beans (with their sauce), brown sugar, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.

Step 6

Fold in the sautéed onions and half of the crumbled bacon. Mix thoroughly.

Step 7

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13-inch baking dish and spread it out evenly.

Step 8

Sprinkle the remaining crumbled bacon evenly over the top.

Step 9

Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 75-90 minutes, or until the mixture is bubbly and thickened to your liking.

Step 10

Remove from the oven and let the baked beans cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
