  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 French baguette
  • 6 slices Provolone cheese
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter
  • 1 Yellow onion
  • 3 cups Beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 sprigs Fresh thyme
  • 1 tsp Flour

Directions

Step 1

Season the ribeye steak evenly on all sides with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Let it sit at room temperature for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended). Remove the steak from the skillet, tent with foil, and let it rest.

Step 3

In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add unsalted butter. Thinly slice the onion and cook in the butter until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
