Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh dill, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika (for garnish)
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 6 small dill sprigs (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Place the eggs in a medium-sized saucepan and cover them with cold water, ensuring the water is about an inch above the eggs.

Step 2

Bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat. Once boiling, cover the pot, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 12 minutes.

Step 3

After cooking, immediately transfer the eggs to an ice bath (a bowl filled with ice water) to stop the cooking process. Let them cool for at least 5 minutes.

Step 4

Carefully peel the eggs under running water to make shell removal easier. Pat them dry with a paper towel.

Step 5

Slice each egg in half lengthwise and gently remove the yolks, placing them in a mixing bowl. Set the egg whites aside on a platter or tray.

Step 6

Using a fork, mash the yolks until they reach a crumbly consistency.

Step 7

Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped dill, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to the yolks. Mix well until smooth and creamy, adjusting seasoning to taste if needed.

Step 8

Transfer the yolk mixture to a piping bag or resealable plastic bag with one corner snipped off. Pipe the filling into the hollowed-out egg whites evenly.

Step 9

Lightly sprinkle paprika over the filled eggs for an added pop of flavor and color.

Step 10

If desired, garnish each egg with a small dill sprig for a decorative touch.

Step 11

Serve immediately or chill in the refrigerator until ready to enjoy.
