Ingredients

  • 4 pieces Pork chops (bone-in or boneless)
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 cup Chicken broth
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons Black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Season the pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper.

Step 2

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 3

Add the pork chops to the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown. Remove the pork chops from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, stirring frequently to prevent burning.

Step 5

Stir in the Dijon mustard and chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze and release any browned bits.

Step 6

Simmer the sauce for 3 minutes to let the flavors meld together.

Step 7

Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Mix well until the sauce is smooth and creamy.

Step 8

Return the pork chops to the skillet and spoon the sauce over them.

Step 9

Cover the skillet with a lid and simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until the pork chops are cooked through and reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

Step 10

Serve the pork chops hot, topped with the Dijon sauce and garnished with fresh thyme, if desired.
