Ingredients

  • 400 grams firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • 1 medium red bell pepper
  • 150 grams broccoli florets
  • 1 medium carrot
  • 2 stalks green onions
  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds

Directions

Step 1

Press the tofu for about 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.

Step 2

In a bowl, mix the tofu with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch until evenly coated.

Step 3

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tofu cubes and stir-fry until golden and crispy on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove tofu from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and grated ginger. Stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5

Add sliced red bell pepper, broccoli florets, and thinly sliced carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp.

Step 6

Return the crispy tofu to the skillet and pour the remaining 1 tablespoon of soy sauce over the stir-fry. Toss everything together to coat well.

Step 7

Add chopped green onions and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds. Stir-fry for another minute.

Step 8
