Ingredients

  • 2 pieces Boneless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt (plain)
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1 medium Onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 pieces Green chilies (finely chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh cilantro (chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons Mayonnaise
  • 4 pieces Bread slices or sandwich rolls

Directions

Step 1

Clean and pat dry the chicken breasts. Cut them into small, bite-sized pieces.

Step 2

In a bowl, prepare the marinade by mixing Greek yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, lemon juice, and salt. Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix well. Let it rest for at least 15 minutes for the flavors to develop.

Step 3

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 10-12 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked and golden brown. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. Remove the chicken from the heat and let it cool slightly.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the chopped onions and green chilies. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until they become soft and slightly caramelized. Turn off the heat.

Step 5

Combine the cooked chicken, sautéed onions, and green chilies in a mixing bowl. Add chopped cilantro and mayonnaise. Mix thoroughly to create a creamy and spicy filling.

Step 6

Toast the bread slices or sandwich rolls lightly if desired. Spread the filling generously onto the bread to make your sandwich.

Step 7

Serve immediately and enjoy your Delicious Indian Spicy Chicken Sandwich!
