Ingredients

  • 4 pieces bone-in pork chops
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 4 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.

Step 2

Place the pork chops in a resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 8 hours for deeper flavor.

Step 3

Remove the pork chops from the refrigerator 20 minutes before cooking to allow them to come to room temperature.

Step 4

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the butter to the pan. Once melted and bubbling, swirl to coat the skillet.

Step 5

Remove the pork chops from the marinade, letting excess marinade drip off (discard the remaining marinade). Place the pork chops in the skillet and sear for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

Step 6

Transfer the pork chops to a plate and let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

Step 7

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately. Pair with roasted vegetables, mashed potatoes, or a simple green salad for a complete meal.
