Ingredients

  • 1 lb Ground turkey
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 0.5 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil
  • 4 large leaves Romaine lettuce leaves
  • 1 large Avocado
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 0.25 cup Red onion
  • 0.5 cup Cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp A1 steak sauce

Directions

Step 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground turkey, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until fully combined.

Step 2

Form the turkey mixture into four evenly sized patties and set aside.

Step 3

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook the turkey patties for 6-7 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). Set them aside to rest.

Step 4

While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice the avocado into thin slices and set aside. Slice the tomato into thin rounds. Finely dice the red onion into small pieces.

Step 5

Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a separate skillet and lightly sauté the diced red onion for 2-3 minutes, until softened and slightly caramelized.

Step 6

Prepare four serving plates. On each plate, lay down a large romaine lettuce leaf as the base.

Step 7

Cut the cooked turkey patties into smaller bite-sized pieces and arrange them artfully on top of the lettuce leaf.

Step 8

Add slices of avocado and tomato around the plate. Sprinkle the caramelized red onions over the turkey pieces.

Step 9

Dust the plate with a generous pinch of shredded cheddar cheese to add richness and creaminess to the dish.

Step 10

Drizzle about 1/2 tablespoon of A1 steak sauce over each plate for a tangy and bold flair.

Step 11

Serve immediately, allowing guests to enjoy each element of the burger separately or mix them together as they eat.
