Ingredients

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 0.33 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Step 1

Place the chicken breasts on a cutting board and season both sides with salt and black pepper.

Step 2

In a small mixing bowl, combine balsamic vinegar, chicken broth, honey, and minced garlic. Stir well and set aside.

Step 3

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, sear the chicken breasts for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

Step 4

In the same skillet, add the balsamic mixture, scraping the bottom of the pan to release any browned bits. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Step 5

Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning some of the balsamic sauce over the top of the chicken.

Step 6

Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and let the chicken cook for another 10 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C).

Step 7

During the last two minutes of cooking, sprinkle the chopped fresh rosemary over the chicken.

Step 8

Serve the chicken hot, drizzled with the balsamic glaze. Pair with mashed potatoes, rice, or a side of roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
