  • 1 large Egg
  • 0.5 cup Milk
  • 0.25 cup Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Boiling water
  • 12 whole cookies Oreo cookies
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Heavy cream
  • 6 whole cookies Additional Oreo cookies (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.

Step 2

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

Add the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until smooth and well incorporated.

Slowly pour in the boiling water while stirring. The batter will be thin, but this is normal.

Place one whole Oreo at the bottom of each cupcake liner.
