Preheat a panini press or a large skillet over medium heat.
Spread the mayonnaise evenly on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
On the non-mayo side of one slice, layer the turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and Swiss cheese in that order.
Place the second slice of bread on top, mayonnaise side facing out.
Spread half of the butter on the outside of the bottom slice of bread.
