  • 2 pounds Collard greens
  • 1 piece Smoked turkey leg or ham hock
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 4 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 4 cups Chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar

  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoons Crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Brown sugar

Directions

Step 1

Rinse the collard greens thoroughly to remove grit and dirt. Trim the tough stems and chop the leaves into bite-sized pieces.
