  • 0.25 teaspoons salt
  • 2.5 cups whole milk
  • 4 count large egg yolks
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 0.25 cup dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Step 2

In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, and melted butter. Mix until the crumbs are evenly moistened.

Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Use the bottom of a measuring cup to compact it evenly.

Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and let it cool completely.
