  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter

  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup Unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Whole milk (for glaze)

Directions

Step 1

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast. Mix until evenly distributed.

In a small saucepan, heat 1 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of butter over low heat until warm but not hot (about 110°F). Remove from heat.

Pour the warm milk-butter mixture into the dry ingredients. Add the egg and mix until a soft dough forms.
